Welcome to our team page, where we would like to introduce you to the people that make Valley Farm what it is.

DENISE FAULKNER: Company Director / First Aider

Denise started Valley Farm in 1984 as a small riding school with only 4 ponies.  Prior to this she was a florist and horses were her hobby.  Over the years she has built up the riding school and improved the facilities.  Denise owned a variety of her own horses, along with some she bred herself and competed in many Riding Club competitions.  More recently she has spent many hours watching her daughters compete.  Nowadays Denise has a more office based role but does like to hack out when time allows.  Denise holds her Child Protection Certificate and is a qualified First Aider.

STEPHANIE FAULKNER: UKCC level 2 Coach / Pony Club branch and centre Coach / First Aider / British Showjumping Rider

Stephanie is Denise’s daughter, filling in many roles at Valley Farm as a UKCC level 2 Coach, Pony Club Coach, British Showjumping Rider, First Aider and holds a Child Protection Certificate.  Stephanie has regularly competed in many of the British Showjumping Finals, including the Blue Chip Finals, the Amateur and Veteran Championships, the major showjumping championships at Arena UK just to name a few. Stephanie is very committed to her showjumping and enjoys teaching any level of rider in this sphere whether it’s jumping 2ft, 4ft or just wanting to improve their showjumping skills.  Stephanie organises all the Pony Club activities, Summer Camps, Clinics and Adult camps.

STELLA ELLARD: Chief Instructor / BHSII

Stella spent her early days as an active member of the Oxoholme Hunt Pony Club and The Lakes Riding Club, representing them in dressage and horse trials.  Prior to attending Warwickshire College Stella worked for an International Event Rider, where she gained her BHSAI and experience with point to pointers.  At college Stella studied Advanced Certificate in Equine Business Management and also acquired her BHSII.  Stella has worked at Valley Farm since 1987 and has taught both of Denise’s daughters to ride as well as many other adults and children.

JENNY ANDERSON: Groom

Jenny attended Warwickshire College for three years studying Horse Care where she gained a Vocational Certificate in Horse Skills, BTEC First Diploma in Horse Care, City and Guilds NVQ level 1 and 2 in Horse Care and City and Guilds National Certificate in Horse Care.  Jenny owns Harvey a 15.2hh traditional cob who she’s owned since 2010 who she likes to compete in dressage and showing.  Jenny keeps Harvey on livery here with us at Valley Farm.  Jenny has worked at Valley Farm since 2002.  Jenny also holds her Safeguarding Children Certificate.
